Tävlande molekyler

Simulationer av evolution brukar vara "computer aided", alltså leva som datormodell. Med hjälp av självreplikerande molekyler, kan man skapa en situation av konkurrens i ett provrör, och alltså få en form av spelplan för tävlan i provröret. Tidskriften Science Daily berättar att en grupp forskare vid The Scripps Research Institute har gjort just detta, och kan på myket kort tid testa vilka vägar evolutionen tar i olika ekologiska system.
