The reason for the web site is to promote science as a base for teaching, and the method we use is to inform anyone who are interested about why we promote the evolution theory instead of creationism (like intelligent design) or any other non scientific theory that explains the origin of the species. The purpose of the biology teaching is not to make the student more confident in their religious beliefs, whatever belief that may be (or not be). The purpose is to teach something that actually works.
It is perfectly alright to believe that God created the species. We don’t say that he didn’t. But we are saying that the knowledge we have about it, and the conclusions that we have drawn on the subject, is limited to, and should be limited to, what we know about the world. Not what different religions claim, or what anyone claim without supporting evidence.
Since we depend on science, we can’t stop learning about biology in respect to creationists, because in the long run, not even creationists would consider that a favor.

Citat:
The uncanny similarities between humans and apes had been noted for over a century. In the 1690s, the English anatomist Edward Tyson performed the first dissection of a chimpanzee. In his 1699 book, The Anatomy of a Pygmie, he wrote that the chimp and the human brain bore a 'suprising' resemblence, commenting that 'one would be apt to think, that since there is so great a disaprity between the Soul of Man, and a Brute, the Organ likewise in which 'tis placed should be very different too.'Carl Zimmer
